Tea and Fashion Show New Fund-Raising Event for 2012 Dolgeville Violet Festival

A new fundraiser is a tea and fashion show featuring vintage clothing from the Early Victorian Era ranging from 1860 to 1915. The show will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM on October 23, 2011 at the Dolgeville Christian Fellowship Church at 3 Elm Street in Dolgeville.

This building is significant because it was Alfred Dolge’s first home and the show is a promotion for Alfred Dolge’s presence at the 2012 Violet Festival. Guest Models in period costumes will present an informative program for the upcoming production. We are encouraging everyone to check their great grandmother’s closets for a costume to wear for this fun day. Hats, fans and parasols were also in style.
